Each address is hashed one-way within seconds of detection and reported only in aggregate, and raw addresses are deleted within 48 hours of the event’s close. We learn how the crowd moved, never who was in it.
How we treat privacy →Every detection is deduplicated into a true unique count before dwell is measured. Signal strength sorts the crowd — direct (under 15 ft), nearby (15–50 ft), drive-by (50–100 ft), up to 300 ft in open field — so you can tell who stopped from who walked past.
Every beacon has built-in LTE: no venue Wi-Fi, no cabling. If the connection drops, the onboard SD card keeps every scan until it’s back.
One foam-lined Pelican case: six pieces, no tools, four steps to set up. Beacons are sealed and weatherproof, run from any outlet or a 5-day battery pack, and a full network goes live in under a day.

Founded in Kansas City in 2015, EB Systems grew up measuring our own city: City Market Saturdays, Downtown districts, the Port, the Plaza. CrowdFlow launched at the Chiefs’ 2020 championship parade. Then COVID hit, and we turned the same beacon technology into contact-tracing systems for Sporting KC, Black & Veatch, and Bayer Crop Science.
The Chiefs kept winning and we kept counting, and in 2023 we relaunched CrowdFlow. At the 2024 parade, our beacons counted 924,435 people along the route and at the rally — and the phone started ringing from further away. Today our hardware works marathons, HYROX weekends, international soccer fan fests, and championship-week brand activations, and it all still ships from Kansas City.
