Crowd through the morning

Each point is the crowd passing our beacons in that 15-minute window, so the line traces the group's progression through downtown — growing steadily all morning as more people flowed in, and cresting at 12:45 PM right as the FanFest gates were about to open.

How we measured it

EB Systems runs a mesh of beacons across the parade route and throughout downtown. As people moved through the area, the network counted the crowd around them in real time — no tickets, no turnstiles, no app to download.

The headline is calibrated against a count taken on the ground at the FanFest entrance, so it reflects the real crowd, not just the devices we saw.
